Albert and I with Harry & Pam in Quebec City, June 2008. We were invited at the last minute to fill two empty seats at "Une Soirée au Musée" - a UNICEF benefit organized by the artist Michel Bell and his wife Nathalie. That's Romeo Dallaire behind Albert. I don't think it is a night either one of us will forget.
One of the greatest gifts I received when I hosted my first Mr. B. website was the introduction to and interaction with so many people from around the world.
Some of us had had the privilege of meeting him in person, some not. But there was a common bond between us.
I have my story, and it is dear to my heart. It is simple, yet I have learned through the years, nothing in comparison to so many others that are out there.
But that's part of the power that was Mr. B. He managed to make us ordinary folk feel like we were, in his eyes, special.
This is an open invite to anyone who wants to share their story. I think it helps paint a broader and more colourful portrait of this man who walked among the kings, the presidents, the famous - and us ordinary folk who he somehow got to sing his song.
